NKT ® & PELVIC FLOOR WORK

Your body has an amazing ability to adapt when something is out of balance. Sometimes one muscle becomes overworked while another stops doing its share, creating compensation patterns that can contribute to recurring tension, discomfort, or restricted movement.

NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) ® is a technique I use to help identify these patterns and better understand how different muscles and areas of your body are working together. Rather than focusing only on the area that hurts, NKT ® looks at the relationships between muscles—where one area may be compensating for another.

Using gentle muscle testing and targeted bodywork, we can explore these relationships and work toward restoring more balanced and comfortable movement.

My advanced training also includes Master’s-level pelvic floor work, giving me a deeper understanding of the relationship between the pelvic floor, hips, low back, abdomen, diaphragm, and the rest of the body. The pelvic floor is an important part of the core and plays a role in posture, breathing, stability, and movement.

This approach may be especially helpful when you have areas of tension or discomfort that keep returning, even after you’ve worked on the area where you feel the symptoms. Looking at the body as a connected system can sometimes reveal compensation patterns that aren’t obvious at first.

Every session is tailored to you and your individual needs. Your comfort, privacy, boundaries, and consent are always a priority. Pelvic floor work is approached with professionalism, compassion, and respect, and I’ll explain the work and answer your questions so you can make informed decisions about your session.

STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION

“Some individuals may perceive their losing fight with gravity as a sharp pain in their back, others as the unflattering contour of their body, others as constant fatigue, yet others as an unrelentingly threatening environment. Those over forty may call it old age. And yet all these signals may be pointing to a single problem so prominent in their own structure, as well as others, that it has been ignored: they are off balance, they are at war with gravity.” –Ida P. Rolf, Ph.D.

Structural Integration is a form of bodywork with movement education.  It releases patterns of stress and tension that inhibit the body from moving freely by balancing the “structure” in gravity.  Structural Integration enhances the body’s pattern of organization.  When the body is balanced in gravity it functions at higher levels of efficiency, coordination, movement, balance, flexibility, strength, and ease.

This is 10 weekly sessions of deep bodywork to realign every structure of the body.  Removes chronic pain by working at the deeper levels.

MASSAGE CUPPING THERAPY

Massage cupping uses negative pressure.  The vacuum pump cup provides a deep approach to soft tissue manipulation, helping to remove  scar tissue, improve range of motion, increases blood flow as well as helping with inflammation.

Massage Cupping Therapy is a form of treatment in which a local suction is created on the skin, using plastic suction cups to help create blood flow and possibly help to remove adhesion’s and trigger points.  Practitioners believe this mobilizes blood and physiological balance in order to promote natural healing to the body.

DEEP TISSUE

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

AROMATOUCH TECHNIQUE

Using 8 different doTERRA CPTG (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade) essential oils works to reduce stress, reduce inflammation, remove toxins, boost immune system, bring autonomic balance, and return the body back to homeostasis.  This is an amazing session, usually 30 minutes, working the oils up and down the spine and on the feet.  An amazing and relaxing session.

INJURY MASSAGE

Great for chronic pain or long-standing injuries.  Every injury that we have ever had creates problems with our body later in life.  I can help you with anything from headaches to sprained ankles.  Upper back to sacral problems.  My passion is to bring balance to the body and re-educate people on how to help themselves.  Please come and see me with any type of injury.

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body’s natural immune function.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.  Helps greatly with whiplash, concussion or head injuries.
